Child care study

This is a pretty scary study and one of the few that have compared fatalities/injuries at FDCs (Family Day Cares), In home (nanny), and Day Care Centers. It isn't a pleasant topics, but it is something that most parents would find interesting. I actually read the whole thing, but I know most people won't want to...so, I suggest looking at the tables on Page 13 and 21.

I started looking at the charts and I'm freakin HORRIFIED! Although, I agree somewhat with family day cares... just because they're family doesn't mean they're safe. I'm going to read the whole thing tonite... Great post!!!! So far, I think it addresses major problems with child care and people should be informed.

I forget what the study said exactly...but I think "family day care" also means "home day care" (like we both use). Obviously centers have more restrictions and safety codes, but there are the benefits of using a home day care also (which this does not address).
