You've got gall...or not!

Happy anniversary to my missing gallbladder! This time last year, we had delayed Thanksgiving due to my emergency gallbladder removal. It recently came up on a mommy blog that I subscribe to, which rehashed the whole episode for me. Everyone agreed that gallbladder attacks are much worse than childbirth.

So, if you are reading this and don't have kids yet...just remember, there is worse pain out there!

Note to gallbladder - I miss you very much...things haven't been the same since. I still get yucky feelings after eating certain foods (I just never pay attention to what they are) and I pretend that my four scars are bullet holes haha. Yes, I'm odd!

Halloween fun

It was technically Katie's 2nd Halloween, but she didn't really participate in her 1st (she was 1 month old). After working 13-15 hour days last week, I left early on Friday because I couldn't miss Halloween! We weren't sure if Katie would understand (and she probably didn't), but she had a blast anyway!

Grandma and Grandpa came over and Katie was a little scared to see Grandma in a big orange pumpkin. She eventually realized it was Grandma and had to keep touching her to make sure.
Grandpa did wear a coconut bra and grass skirt (for about 10 seconds). Luckily, I got it on camera.

We dressed Katie up in her "tulip fairy" costume and let her play with our treats, before we passed them out. This year I added little containers of Play Doh for the kids that were too small for candy. It was a BIG hit!

Katie ran around the neighborhood with Daddy and Grandma and collected a pumpkin full of candy. She loved looking out the front door for more trick or treaters and loved staying up late. Thanks for the candy, Katie! YUM!
Even Baby Jamey came over to visit in his warm dragon costume! We can't wait for next year!
